Margaret “Marge” Yearsley, age 92, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 23, 2026.
Born in Wilmington, Delaware, on September 29, 1934, Marge was the daughter of Rose and Pietro Cursi. She worked for DuPont for more than 20 years.
Marge enjoyed gardening, traveling and had a passion for decorating. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren, and she took great pride in their accomplishments. She was a member of St. John the Beloved Church and enjoyed the friendship of her Red Hat and Bunco groups for many years.
Marge was preceded in death by her husband, Marlin G. Cannon, who passed away in 2020; her brother, Louis and her sister, Antoinette Cursi.
She is survived by her sons, Ed (Kathy), Bruce (Gale), and Darren (Anne); her eight grandchildren, Heather, Ryan, Tessa, Blake, Brooke, Ava, Kim, and Parker; her great-granddaughter, Kaylei; and her sisters, Alma and Bernie; and her brother Pete.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, November 25, 2026, from 9-10 AM at McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Hwy, Wilmington, DE 19808 followed by a service in celebration of Margaret’s life at 10 AM. Inurnment will follow at Cathedral Cemetery.
