Edward Daniel Reilly went home to be with his Lord and Savior on September 11, 2026.
Ed was the beloved son of the late Edward F. Reilly Jr. and Hope and Greg Schock. He will be deeply missed by his sister, Johanna E. Barré (Glenn); his brother, Scott Reilly (Kristy); and his sister, Amy Masker (Jason). He was preceded in death by his brother, Todd Reilly (Melody) and Montana Masker.
Ed is also survived by his nephews and niece, Randy Reilly (Stephanie), Todd Reilly Jr., Jeremiah Reilly, Christopher Reilly, Alexis Reilly, Johnathan Syva, and Cody Masker. He was a proud great-uncle to Jase and Maverick Reilly.
Ed was a graduate of McKean High School. He worked for the City of Wilmington for nine years in the License and Inspection Department while working for UPS for more than 20 years.
In his spare time, Ed enjoyed country music and line dancing. He was also known for his kindness and generosity, including taking the time to cut the grass for his elderly neighbors. His caring spirit and willingness to help others will be remembered by all who knew him.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at Marshallton United Methodist Church, 1105 Stanton Rd, Wilmington, DE from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private.
