Pangburn, Paul III

Paul D. Pangburn III, was 52 yrs old at the time of his passing in Jefferson-Einstein Hospital, Philadelphia on August 31, 2026, with his mother by his side holding his hand. He most currently resided in Pennsville NJ, and lived in Salem County and neighboring counties most of his life. He was a loving and devoted father and grandfather. Whenever he said “goodbye” he always said “I love you” too.

As a child, he loved the outdoors and was never afraid to try daring things. He had many adventures traveling and camping all over the USA, usually with Mommom and Pop Romansky, who thought of him as their own child. Throughout his life, he was artistically inclined. As a young teen he discovered a love of music and he became a gifted self-taught guitar player. He enjoyed attending concerts and his musical taste was eclectic. His favorite band was the Allman Brothers and he loved to play along to their song, “Mountain Jam”.

Near the end of his life, Paul had a granddaughter named Khali, who he loved more than anything, talking about her every day. She called him Poppop Rings pizza party, because he wore a lot of rings and sometimes brought her pizza when visiting.

Paul’s surviving relatives are his long time life partner Shannon Land who meant the world to him, mother Deborah L. Jones, father P. David Pangburn Jr and his wife Jane, his children Sarah Pangburn and her fiancée Eoghan Schank, Maxwell Pangburn, Abby Pangburn and her fiancée Jhay Harrell and their daughter Khali Pangburn, and Ziggy Pangburn.

Paul is predeceased by his beloved daughter Melissa Pangburn who tragically died at a young age (mother, Barbara Wiley), his maternal grandparents Robert and Jean Romansky, his paternal grandparents Dave Pangburn Sr and Mina Fisher.

A short service will be held at the Chapel at All Saint’s Cemetery (6001 Kirkwood Hwy, Wilmington, DE 19808) at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 9th.
