Linda M. Guthrie, age 57, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones. Born on July 19, 1969, in Cape May, New Jersey, she was the cherished daughter of the late Raymond Williams and Mary Petty.
Linda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who dedicated her life to her family and community. She will be remembered for her kind and generous spirit, her love of fishing, relaxing at the beach, working with horses, and her passion for gardening. Above all, Linda’s greatest joy was caring for her family. Her unwavering devotion as a wife and mother, along with her warm heart and compassionate nature, touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Robert D. Guthrie; her sons, Stephen Szumowski, Mark Szumowski, and Amil Reeves; her four beloved grandchildren; and a large circle of extended family and dear friends.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 1-2 PM at McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808 followed by a service in celebration of Linda’s life at 2 PM. Burial will be private.
Linda’s memory will forever be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
