Eilene Hurst, 74, of Wilmington, Delaware passed away on January 25.
Visitation will be Monday, February 2, 10-11:00 am, McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington. The funeral service is at 11:00 am at the funeral home. A private burial will follow
Eilene was born in Wilmington, Delaware to Alfred L. and Marjorie C. Logan in 1951. She graduated from Thomas McKean High School in 1969. She worked as a telephone operator for AT&T for 15 years, then worked at OK Video until she retired. She was involved in Girl Scouts for many years. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, birdwatching, NASCAR, football, basketball, and Disney movies. She attended Mid-county Senior Center and was a member of Eastpoint Community Church.
Eilene is survived by her son, Andrew L. Hurst of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania; stepdaughters Amy Thomatis of Tracy, California and Jennifer Brown of Wilmington, Delaware; siblings Marjorie C. Logan of Newark, Delaware and A. Daniel Logan of Middletown, Delaware; and Timothy A. Smith and other nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her husband, Harry T. Hurst, and parents, Alfred L. and Marjorie C. Logan.
