Florence V. Pullella passed away on January 24, 2026, at Accent Hospice surrounded by her family.
Florence was born in New Castle, DE, on September 5, 1931, to the late Joseph and Lena Ferrelli. Throughout her life, Florence was a devout Roman Catholic as well as a beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Florence retired as medical secretary and then dedicated the remainder of her life to helping care for her grandchildren. She loved hosting large family holidays and preparing all their favorite Italian dishes, but above all, she loved being surrounded by her loving family.
Florence was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, John J. Pullella, and her sisters Eva, Lucy, Julia, Rose and Lena and her two half-brothers, John and Nicholas Ferrelli. She lives on through her children, John J. Pullella, Jr. (Donna), Lena M. Adams (Don), Joseph F. Pullella (Cheryl) and Leopold D. Pullella (Cassie), her twin sister, Josie Picollelli, 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Monday, February 2,2026 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 82 Possum Park Road, Newark, DE 19711 where a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
