Marvin Murray Bristow, Jr., of Wilmington, DE, 72 years of age, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 11, 2025 surrounded by family and friends.
Marvin was predeceased by his parents, Marvin M. Bristow, Sr. and Betty R. Bristow. Marvin attended Delcastle High School and graduated in 1972. He then began a 39-year career with Acme Markets. However, his true passion was his successful career in real estate working for several local realtors until recent years.
Early on, Marvin enjoyed traveling to places such as Germany, riding a camel in Egypt, and visiting other European countries. Closer to home, he loved spending time at the Delaware beaches and, in his later years, visiting friends in Naples, Florida during the winter.
Marvin was a great uncle to all of his nieces and nephews, especially during the holiday season, treating them each year to Christmas shopping and dinner. He loved dining out—particularly at local diners—and he enjoyed visiting many of the area casinos with his friend, Steve Lamberto.
Marvin is survived by his siblings, Carol Thompson (Donnie), Sharon Agnor, Diane Coyle (Mike), and his brother, Kirk (Coleen). He was beloved by all of his nieces and nephews: Christine DiMaio, Jennifer Thompson, Steven Thompson, Stacy Davies, Heather Giardina, Michael Coyle, Ryan Agnor, Kelli Bristow, and Eileen Daugherty, as well as his great-nieces and great-nephews and his many long-time and devoted friends.
The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Unit 3C at Christiana Care for their kind and compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the American Diabetes Association, Eastern Pennsylvania & Delaware, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023
