Beverly Jean Gollicker, age 75, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2025, at Christiana Hospital, surrounded by her family.
Born in Wilmington, DE, Beverly was the daughter of the late Matthew and Levaun Dominick. She attended Wilmington High School and the University of Delaware. Beverly loved children and dedicated her life to education, teaching for 45 years—40 of those at Caravel Academy, where she was cherished by her “Caravel Family.” She was motherly to many of her students and colleagues, who she considered part of her extended family.
Beverly was a strong, kind, honest, and loyal woman. She enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping, dining out, and cheering for her beloved Philadelphia Phillies, whether at the ballpark or on television. She also loved animals, caring for many cats and dogs throughout her life, including her most recent companions, Shadow, Gwen, Holly, and Pepper.
Beverly was married to her devoted husband, Bruce Joseph Gollicker, for 55 years. They were two different people who shared one heart, inseparable in life and love. Together they raised three children, Bruce, Bryan, and Lauren Gollicker, and were blessed with two grandchildren, Leila and Holden Gollicker. Above all, Beverly treasured her family.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday, August 29, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. at McCrery & Harra Funeral Homes, 3710 Kirkwood Highway Wilmington DE. Interment will be held at Glenwood Memorial Gardens, Broomall, PA.
