Donald E. Rosenberry, age 80, formerly of Wilmington, DE passed away suddenly on Saturday, June 7, 2025 in Sunset Beach, NC.
Don was one of 12 children of the late Samuel E. and Florence Krepps Rosenberry. Don graduated in 1962 from Chief Logan High School in Lewistown, PA; later moving to Wilmington, DE where he joined to serve his country in the United States Army and later found his dream job as a mechanic working on the Estate of Henry Francis duPont‘s Winterthur Museum and Gardens from which he retired from in 2010 after 40 years of service. He married his wife, Judy Rosenberry, in 1972 and together had two daughters, Jody Lynne and Erin Anne.
Don was a 37-year member of the Masonic fraternity and served as Grand Master of the Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of Delaware in 2018 – 2019. He was very active in Lafayette Lodge #14 and other Appendant bodies of the fraternity and enjoyed the many relationships he made in his travels.
In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Leah Grace, and 10 of his siblings. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Judy Boswell Rosenberry; his daughters, grandchildren, Ian Donald and Alanah Faith, and his sister Peggy Ann Mort of Lewistown, PA; a brother- in- law, several sisters-in-law, as well as many nieces and nephews in the Rosenberry and Boswell families.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 12:30 pm on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE 19803 where a Masonic service will begin at 12:30 pm, followed by a funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Don’s memory to the Grand Lodge A.F. & A.M. of Delaware, 818 N. Market Street, 3rd Floor, Wilmington, DE 19801.
